The Seventy and the One

About this book

The Nations Given Away at Bavel and the One Who Came to Bring Them Home Short description Seventy nations were counted at Bavel and handed to seventy rulers. One portion was kept. The story of how Yeshua is gathering the nations back. Contents and details “When the Most High divided the nations, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the nations according to the number of the angels of Elohim. And his people Ya’akov became the portion of YAHUAH” (Devarim 32:8–9). Most English Bibles hide this verse. The Septuagint and the Dead Sea Scrolls preserve it, and with it a key to the whole Bible: at Bavel the seventy nations were given over to seventy rulers, while one people was kept back as the Most High’s own portion. Those rulers turned the nations to their altars and gods. And the One who was promised came to buy the nations back. The Seventy and the One traces that story from the eternal past to the coming Kingdom: * the Table of Nations in Bereshit 10 and the scattering at Bavel; * the rulers of the nations judged in Tehillim 82 and seen at work in Dani’el, Chanokh and Yovelim; * how the nations’ altars and gods shaped peoples across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas; * Yeshua’s sending of the seventy in Lukas 10, and why he sent men and not the twelve legions of mal’achim he could have called (Mattityahu 26:53); * how every nation is grafted in through Yeshua HaMashiach, and what that means for believers today.
